Classical Tour of Greece

Day 1

Arrival at Athens airport. Meet by level travel representative, private transfer to BW Candia hotel or similar. Free time for leisure. We can arrange optional evening tour (Athens by night) where you will be able to see, admire and photograph the illuminated acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a typical Greek tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floorshow with live music and Greek folk dances in traditional costumes – Overnight in Athens

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day free at leisure to explore the city at your own pace, or we can arrange an optional ( Athens Sightseeing with new Acropolis Museum tour ) This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city - Overnight in Athens

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Get ready for a spectacular four-day tour where Greece through the centuries will unfold before you. Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (shortstop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis stay at hotel Europa or similar (Dinner included) - Overnight in Olympia

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which crosses the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi stay at Amalia hotel or similar (Dinner included) – Overnight in Delphi

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Delphi was regarded as the center of the world. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foothills of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks stay at Amalia hotel Kalambaka  or similar (Dinner included) – Overnight in Kalambaka

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the gigantic rocks of Meteora, which are perched above the town of Kalambaka, at a maximum height of 400 m (1200 ft.) The most interesting summits are decorated with historical monasteries and are included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see Leonida's Monument located across the road). Arrive in Athens early in the evening - Overnight in Athens

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel.  Transfer to Athens Airport for your departure flight.
